Joss Whedon

Despite being the creator of the successful series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and possibly the BEST SHOW EVER, Firefly, Joss Whedon was not really a household name. But that is likely to change now that the new movie The Avengers which he wrote and directed has broken box office records. One can only hope that he now has enough clout in Hollywood for another Firefly/Serentity movie.
