Alki Cafe
Good eats. Always packed. Yum! |
Marisa: Chicken
Alfredo, cinnamon roll |

Alligator Soul
Louisiana style food transplanted to the Northwest. Located in downtown Everett, this little restaurant has some great food. We have not had anything that wasn't good, and most of it is great. |
Edgars: Crawfish Etouffee, Turtle Soup |
9.4 |
Anthony's
Woodfire Grill
A casual restaurant with good chicken, fish, and steak options.
This place is nice for the fancy or casual option, since the
prices are a bit high, but totally reasonable. We would
recommend going during the Early Bird Dinner, so you can get your
entree, appetizer, salad/soup, and dessert for the price of what
the entree usually costs. |
Marisa:
Rotisserie Herbed Chicken, chowder, Scuttlebutt root beer |
9.5 |
Arnie's
This is a nice, reasonably priced "fancy" restaurant.
The menu has a large variety of meat and seafood items, and the
Entertainment coupons make for a really good inexpensive meal. |
Marisa: Prime Rib
Dip |

Barking Frog
Located at Willows Lodge in Woodinville (next to the Red Hook brewery).
Prices are reasonable for a "fancy" restaurant, and the food was quite good. Surprisingly, the sides were well matched with the main dishes. |
Edgars: Rabit Confit |
9.2 |
Cajun Kitchen: Cookin' with Jazz
Located in Ventura, Ca. This restaurant is only open for lunch an dinner, but boy is it good. They have regular eggs and panckage breakfasts that are be than IHOP. We ate there four times for breakfast and it was always packed. And the jambalaya is excellent! |
Edgars: jambalaya
Marisa: buttermilk panckages |
9.2 |
Cheesecake
Factory
Huge menu, all of which is pretty good. One of those places
like "Hard Rock Cafe" that people seem to think is
"so great" but is actually just like everything else.
The wait is usually ridiculous, so try to go at off peak times.
Don't get the chicken alfredo. The best cheesecake! |
Marisa: Tons of
Fun burger, Oreo cheesecake |

Maltby Cafe
If you like homestyle breakfast food made with fresh ingredients
and served in large quantities, this place is for you! I
highly recommend the Swedish style (thin) pancakes served with
creme fraische and fresh strawberries. The ranch style new
potatoes and egg scrambles are equally good. Yummy! |
Marisa: Swedish
style pancakes with creme fraische & fresh berries |

| BBQ |
Big Al's BBQ
Yummy, tender ribs and tasty potatoes served with warm corn bread
are what make this place so great. The restaurant isn't
flashy, and it's not much to look at once inside, but the food is
good, and with the Entertainment 50% off coupon, the price is
right. |
Marisa: Ribs with
garlic taters |
9 |
Texas
Smokehouse BBQ
Decent BBQ, and priced well with the Entertainment coupon.
Not as good as Big Al's, but tasty. |
Marisa: Go to Big
Al's instead |

Tony Roma's
We love Tony Romas for good, clean off the bone ribs. The
bbq sauces are the key here, and often I feel that it's not the
meat that makes this place so good, but rather the sauce.
For the same effect, buy the sauces and make your own ribs. |
Marisa: Baby Back
ribs with Blue Ridge Smokies BBQ sauce, Baked potato, Baked Beans |

| Burgers |
Dick's
Drive-In
Greasy burgers and fries. Yummy shakes. If you're not
worried about calories, and are looking for a good, cheap burger,
go here. |
Marisa: 2 cheese,
1 fry, Rootbeer float |
9.8 |
Red Mill
Burgers
A wider variety of burgers than Dick's, but more on the pricey
side. Long wait for take-out, but it is made on the spot.
Good burgers if you don't mind the wait. |
Marisa: Go to
Dick's instead |

Red Robin
Good burgers with a huge menu variety. A little on the
expensive side for ground beef on a bun, but it's the toppings,
the fresh ingredients, and the bottomless steak fries that keep us
going back. |
Marisa: Whiskey
River BBQ Chicken burger |

| Italian |
Buca di Beppo
Really loud and packed every night. Family style dishes limit your
choices, since you have to share and thus agree on something with
your fellow diners. Their specialty dishes are better than
their plain pasta dishes. |
Marisa: Garlic
bread with mozzarella, Tiramisu |
9 |
Contos' Pizza
& Pasta
Greek/Italian food served fast, cheap, and hot. They use the
same sauce on everything, so the different pastas taste the same,
but are different shapes. |
Marisa: Lasagne
with meat sauce |
9.3 |
Gianni's
Ristorante
The restaurant doesn't look too great once inside, but the food is
excellent, and not your typical restaurant chain Italian. |
Marisa: Lasagne |
8.5 |
Macaroni Grill
Pretty much like the Olive Garden, but without the
breadsticks. |
Marisa: Chicken
Alfredo |

Olive Garden
Why is there always this huge wait for this Italian restaurant?
The food is good, as are the unlimited breadsticks and tasty
salad, but waiting over 20 minutes isn't worth it. Go buy
some Stouffer's. |
Marisa: Tour of
Italy-Lasagne, Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan |

Mexican |
Chevy's Fresh
Mex
Good service, and not so super heavy Mexican food. The best
part is watching the tortillas get made fresh by El Machino.
Overall it's decent for an occasional meal. |
Marisa: Nothing

| Pizza |
Atlantic Street Pizza
Huge deep-dish style pizza with large chunky toppings. Spend the $ for this pizza and it will feed you for days. |
Marisa: anything with meat |
9.3 |
Pizza Hut
Greasy pan pizza that's got an addicting flavor. Pretty good as far as cheap pizza goes. Only worth the purchase if you have a coupon.

Tutta Bella
Damn good pizza made in the Neopolitan style and served with only fresh toppings. Yum! |
Marisa: Pizza Margherita |
9.5 |
| Seafood |
Anthony's
Homeport
Seafood restaurant a bit on the pricey side. Marisa has
never had a decent piece of fish there. |
Marisa: Stay home |
6.5 |
Bonefish Grill
Many varieties of seafood served with your choice of sauce.
The Caesar salad is excellent, as is pretty much all of the menu.
This is a good restaurant that's fancy enough to go to for a
special occasion, but also cheap enough to go to on a Friday
evening. |
Marisa: Mahi Mahi with
Tomato Lime Garlic Sauce, Caesar salad, Garlic mashed potatoes |
8.5 |
The Brooklyn
Pretty pricey eats, but worth the money for perfectly cooked steak & seafood and quality service. The bread and dipping oil is super tasty. Be prepared for a long wait if you don't have reservations. Good location right next to Benaroya Hall. |
Marisa: Peppercorn strip steak , medium rare
Edgars: try the monkfish |
8.0 |
Cutter's
Mid-range (fancy and casual) seafood restaurant with a wide fish
selection and many fresh options. Dessert was good too. |
Marisa: It was
all pretty good
Edgars: Crab stuffed halibut |
9 |
Ivar's
Marisa's favorite restaurant. Great fish and chips,
wonderfully creamy chowder, and the best tartar sauce ever.
The Salmon House has a nice variety of salmon dishes, but the fish
& chips staple is by far what makes Ivar's so popular. |
Marisa: Fish
& chips, Cup of chowder |
9.3 |
McCormick
& Schmick's
A large variety of seafood is available here, but the food didn't
seem particularly special. A little pricey for fish that is
served "plainly grilled." A nice dessert
selection, though... |
Marisa: None
Edgars: Monkfish |
6 |
Spud's Fish
& Chips
Cod freshly battered and fried before your eyes! Large
pieces of fish, a bit pricey, but good. |
Marisa: Single
with extra fish |

Steak |
El Gaucho
If you're willing to spend a lot on food and great service, El
Gaucho is worth it. The steaks are monster huge and served
to perfection. Moreover, the service is superb. The
waiter fluffed my baked potato and made our wonderful Caesar salad
tableside. After dinner, they even bring out a round of
fruit and cheese. Just stay away from the cheese... Be
aware, that El Gaucho is not cheap. Be prepared to fork over
$50-$75 per person. |
Marisa: Anything,
Caesar Salad |
9.8 |
Outback
steakhouse
Highly overrated. The steaks are only so-so, often over
cooked and too salty. The prices don't seem to reflect the
quality of the product nor of the service. |
Marisa: Cyclone
