SITH LOCATIONS
Listed here are a few locations in the galaxy relevant to Sith history.
Alderaan "Everyone has heard of the Alderaan
tragedy. Grassy plains and alien ruins, distinguished
universities and celebrated museums, soaring thrantas and
dazzling glimmerfish were all obliterated in an instant by the
Death Star's superlaser, leaving only a ragged debris field
fittingly called the Graveyard. For thousands of years Alderaan
was famous as a world of unspoiled beauty and a center of art,
culture and education. The earliest colonists refused to pave
their new home with ferrocrete - one Coruscant was
enough for them. Instead, cities were built into canyon
crevasses, beneath the polar ice, and on stilts in the shallow
saline seas. Though Alderaan had long been a democracy, it still
retained a royal family: House Organa. The Organas, ruling from
the capital, Aldera, took an active role in the Old Republic
government and helped oversee the voluntary demilitarization of
their world after the bloody Clone Wars. After Palpatine's rise,
Bail Organa became a founding member of the Rebel Alliance, and
his adopted daughter, Leia, followed in his footsteps."
While on a 'diplomatic mission' Princess Leia was captured above
Tatooine and brought before Grand Moff Tarkin onboard the Death
Star. Tarkin threatened to blow up Alderaan if she did not reveal
the location of the Rebel's secret base. She gave in and divulged
their base on Dantooine, but that base had long since been
abandoned. As a warning to the rest of the Galaxy, Tarkin blew up
Alderaan anyway.
Ambria
A desolate, uninhabited planet... but also the home of Jedi Master Thon. It was
here that Thon trained Nomi Sunrider. During the Sith War, Exar Kun commanded
the death of all the old Jedi Masters, and so, Oss Wilum and Crado went to
Ambrai to kill Thon. They released Dark Side creatures from a nearby lake, held
at bay by Thon's powers. But Thon and his students prevailed and drove off the
creatures.
Arkania
Arkania was once part of the ancient Sith
Empire, but all records from this time period are lost or destroyed. In the
centuries that followed Great Hyperspace War, it was colonized by the Republic
and great Jedi Master Arca Jeth founded here a training compound. Millennia
later Arkania became a center of genetic manipulation, and the general
perception was that Arkanians were arrogant xenophobes who intended to enslave
other species. Arkania was covered with cool tundra and for millennia was famous
because of its huge diamonds.**
Bastion Capital of the Empire following the Republic's capture of Coruscant. The capital would be repeatedly moved to and from Bastion throughout the years as the Empire became the Imperial Remnant, joined with the Galactic Alliance, and later reformed as the Empire. Following the defeat of the Gallactic Alliance, the Empire moved it's capital back to Coruscant. Bastion then became the center of Roan Fel's loyal Imperials that did not wish to follow Darth Krayt's leadership.
Bespin Cloud City.
"A huge floating city, suspended about 60,000 kilometers
above the gas giant Bespin. Since it was founded, Cloud City's
primary industry has been mining Tibanna gas, which can be used
as a hyperdrive coolant or as an energy source for blasters and
other weapons. Under the leadership of Baron Administrator Lando
Calrissian, who won the colony in a game of sabacc, Cloud City
developed a small tourist trade that included casinos and luxury
resorts." Bespin was of little interest to the Empire until Lord Vader used it as the location of a trap for
Luke Skywalker. As bait the Dark Lord used Luke's friends: Han,
Leia, Chewie, and C-3P0. Luke escaped the trap, but with the loss
of his right hand in a lightsaber duel with Vader. With the aid
of Lando Calrissian, Leia and the others also escaped, but they
could not save Han Solo who had been frozen in carbonite and
given to the bounty hunter Boba Fett.
Borosk The 908th stormtrooper squad was stranded on Borosk before they could defect and join Roan Fel and his resistance. They were wiped out by the 407th.
Byss Deep in the galactic core, entirely enveloped in the power of the Dark Side, Byss became the central planet of the reborn Empire of Palpatine's clone.
Carida A world of varied climates and very strong gravitation that was a center of stromtrooper training for the Empire. Its military academy trained billions of mindless soldiers that were the most recognizable symbol of Empire’s power over the galaxy, as well as officers and special commandos like Kyle Katarn, who was one of the graduates. Different climate zones were helpful in training various types of units. Carida remained fanatically loyal to the Empire even after Palpatine and Vader were long gone. This situation changed dramatically one day when Kyp Durron, last apprentice of Exar Kun, driven by revenge came here in the stolen Suncrusher, and obliterated the entire system.**
Ch'Hodos Planet in the Sith Empire. Central base
of the Sith Lord Shar Dakhan. Loyal follower of Naga Sadow, Dakhan gathered all his forces to take
part in the invasion of the Republic.
Circapous
V Located in the Expansion Region, this
backwater rainy planet, covered with lush jungles, was the site of a
small mining colony managed by the Empire. Shortly after the Battle of Yavin,
Luke and Leia were forced to land here due to engine
trouble. Here they learned of the Pomojema Temple and the Kaiburr crystal,
capable of focusing and increasing one's Force powers. Lord Vader also found out
about this crystal and came here to take it. And thus, Pomojema Temple became
known as a place of the first duel between Luke and the Dark Lord.**
Corbos This planet was the site of the climactic battle between Light and Dark Jedi during the Second Great Schism. Although the Dark Siders were defeated a few managed to escape, including Karness Muur, Ajunta Pall, and Xoxaan. THey would eventually find the planet Korriban and conquer the local Sith people to form the modern Sith Empire.
Coruscant Capital of the Galactic Republic. It
withstood an attack by the Sith during the Great
Hyperspace War. Site of the failed attack by Aleema and Qel-Droma's forces during the Sith War.
Location of the Republic Senate Chamber where the trial of Ulic
Qel-Droma was held that was interupted by Exar Kun, who proceded to killed his master Vodo-Siosk
Baas. Site of the Galactic
Museum. Later the
center of the Empire that was ruled by Emperor Palpatine
and Darth Vader,
12th Dark Lord of the Sith. And shortly after, it reverted to the
capital of the New Republic. Coruscant has such a long history
that much more could be said, but these were the main events that
relate to the Sith.
Cron System "Also known
as the Cron Cluster, it was a hot, unstable
cluster of ten densely packed stars in the Auril sector of the
Galactic Core. It became the site of the future Cron
Drift, when one of the stars was destroyed by Aleema, resulting in a supernova that
obliterated the rest of the cluster." Kemplex Nine was a
bustling city in space in the Cron System before it was destroyed
by the supernova. Also destroyed in the blast was the great Jedi
library on the planet Ossus.
Daluuj Seven years after Darth Krayt took the Imperial throne, four of the few remaining Jedi met on Daluuj to make plans for defeating the Sith. This secret meeting was interrupted by Sith attackers, who were promptly defeated. This attack only solidified the Jedi's determination in their goal of defeating the Sith.
Dantooine
Site of one of the five ancient Star Maps that would lead Darth
Revan and Darth Malak to the Star
Forge. Dantooine was otherwise a peaceful agricultural planet that drew little
attention from the rest of the galaxy. Preceding the Sith War, Dantooine was the
home of Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, teacher of the famed Exar Kun before his
fall to the Dark Side. During the reign of Emperor Palpatine, Dantooine was the
site of a secret Rebel base, which was safely vacated before the Empire
discovered it.
Death
Star I "The Death Star was conceived by Grand Moff Tarkin
and approved by the Emperor. Drawing on concepts pioneered at many secret military
installations, Chief Engineer Bevel Lemelisk designed the massive
space station. The Death Star was commanded by Tarkin, but Lord Vader served as the Emperor's emissary and
wielded the widest possible authority to enforce the Emperor's
will. The Death Star's centerpiece was an awesome,
planet-destroying superlaser. The weapon was used only twice:
first to destroy the penal world of Despayre (where the Death
Star was built) and second to obliterate Alderaan. ...The first Death Star's defenses
were built around the idea of repelling a capital ship attack;
starfighters were considered "insignificant" by
Imperial military strategists. And when the Alliance mounted its
assault over Yavin, the
Rebels could send only two squadrons each of X-wing and Y-wing
fighters. Grand Moff Tarkin considered the attack
inconsequential. He refused to launch TIE fighters in defense of
the station, and only the TIE fighters under Lord Vader's direct
command were deployed against the Allinace's fighters. As a
result of those errors of arrogance, the mightiest weapon in the
history of the galaxy was destroyed by a simple proton torpedo
fired down an unshielded exhaust vent. This Achilles' heel
allowed the Empire's enemies to detonate the Death Star's power
core and win the day." (from The Essential Guide To
Vehicles and Vessels)
Death
Star II"The
destruction of the first Death Star over the fourth moon of Yavin
represented a devastating defeat for the Empire. In typical
fashion, Emperor Palpatine decided that the best revenge would be
to again confront the Rebellion with it's greatest fear - a
resurrected Death Star. Palpatine summoned the original Death
Star's lead designer, Bevel Lemelisk, ordering him to produce an
even more advanced battle station. After finishing work on the Tarkin
battle station, Lemelisk's design team soon completed the second
Death Star's design. Not only was the second Death Star larger
and more deadly, but several flaws in the original design were
corrected. ...Of course, the Death Star was also part of an
elaborate trap set by Emperor Palpatine to lure the Rebels out of
hiding. For nearly four years the Rebels had managed to avoid
Imperial war fleets. The Emperor provided a target so dangerous
that the Rebels could not afford to pass it up. Palpatine allowed
the Alliance's Bothan spies to learn the location of the Death
Star; he did not disclose the fact that the superlaser would be
fully operational by the time the Rebel fleet arrived. The Rebels
fell for his simple trap. Imperial engineers built an immense
shield generator on the forest moon of Endor to protect the partially completed Death Star. However,
the Empire underestimated the 'primitive' Ewoks indigenous to
Endor's moon. A small team of Rebel commandos was able to enlist
the Ewoks' aid and destroy the shield generator, thus allowing
the Millennium Falcon, commanded by General Lando
Calrissian, to fly inside the partially completed battle station
and destroy its power core. As the second Death Star exploded
over the forest moon, the Emperor was killed and his war fleet
was flung into disarray. A month later Rebel leader Mon Mothma
declared the end of the Rebellion and announced the formation of
the New Republic." (from The Essential Guide To Vehicles
and Vessels)
Denarii
Nova "A double star system, site of a
battle between Naga Sadow and Republic gunships that resulted in
the destruction of the entire star system."
Deneba Here thousands of
Jedi met to discuss what should be done about the Krath, whose reign of terror and Sith powers
posed a threat to the entire galaxy. But during the meeting, the
Krath unleashed deadly war droids. Many great Jedi, including Master
Arca, died that day.
Dromund
Kaas This planet was a forgotten Sith
world and after millennia there are still signs of their reign. Kyle
Katarn learned about this planet when he was translating ancient inscriptions on
Altyr V and decided to investigate the place. He discovered a large Sith temple
complex originally built by Darth Millennial, and was nearly driven insane by the overpowering Dark Side presence.
Mara Jade came to this place searching for Kyle and found him changed into a
dark side warrior. Kyle challenged her, and after a very tough battle Mara was
barely able to convince him to return the light side. After his unexpected fall,
Kyle renounced The Force and blinded himself to it, determined never to use it
again. The Force, however had plans of its own for Katarn, and several years
later Kyle was called once again to take on the Jedi Way...**
Dxun "The nearest
of the four moons of Onderon, it was rent by great volcanic fissures that caused
massive electric storms in the atmosphere. This resulted in the
evolution of monstrous and savage creatures of Dxun, which
escaped the confines of Dxun and migrated to Onderon via an
atmosphere bridge eons ago. A great tomb housing the sarcophagi
of Freedon Nadd, King
Ommin, and Queen
Amanoa is located here,
guarded by Dxun Beasts."
Empress
Teta system Also known as the Koros System.
Five millennia before the birth fo Luke Skywalker, the seven
worlds of the Koros System were united by the wise and skilled Empress
Teta. This system became the front lines of the Great
Hyperspace War between the Republic and the invading
Sith Empire. The Jedi Knight Odan-Urr joined the
Jedi Memit Nadill as the Empress' advisors just prior to the
Hyperspace War. Odan-Urr would go on to become a hero of that
conflict. One thousand years later the Krath, Satal Keto and his cousin Aleema,
heirs to the throne of the Empress Teta system, boldly staged a
political coup in the Empress Teta system and took control of it
from their father. It is from here that they staged their war
against the Republic and the Jedi. During a confrontation between
Ulic Qel-Droma
and Exar Kun in
the Iron Citadel, the command base of the Krath's control over
the Empress Teta System, the spirits of long dead Dark Lords
halted the duel and declared Kun the new Dark Lord of the Sith
and Qel-Droma his apprentice. In love with Ulic Qel-Droma, Aleema
joined him and Exar Kun to start the Sith War.
Endor "One of
nine moons orbiting a gas giant also known as Endor. The forest
moon is covered by woodlands, savannas, and mountains. It is
inhabited by a wide range of intelligent creatures, from the
vicious and towering Gorax to the courageous Ewoks. Endor's
trees, where the industrious Ewoks build their sprawling
villages, can reach thousands of meters in height. The Sanctuary
Moon was heavily involved in the Battle of Endor, when Imperial
forces constructed the second Death Star within the planet's
orbit." The Emperor used the Death Stars construction to set
a trap for the Rebel fleet. The Rebels won the Battle of Endor by
destroying the shield generator on the planet's surface and then
the Death Star itself by blowing up it's reactor core. It was
aboard the second Death Star that both Emperor
Palpatine and Darth
Vader died.
Executor Darth Vader's flagship. Although not a planetary location, this super stardestroyer could be thought of as a mobile city in space. Onboard, Darth Vader had a meditation chamber, and he did not like interuptions while he was in it. Unfortunatly, this magnificent starship was destroyed at the Battle of Endor when an A-Wing plowed through the bridge, causing it to go out of control and crash into the second Death Star.
Foerost
Shipyards One of the largest shipyards of the
Ancient Republic prior to the Great Sith War, Foerost facilities used raw
materials from the planet below. Ulic Qel-Droma selected Foerost as a target of
his first serious strike that opened the Sith War. A Krath fleet embarked with
Mandalorians, and masked by Aleema's Force illusions, launched a deadly attack
and utterly destroyed the shipyard. Ulic captured over 300 newly-built capital
ships and added them to his armada that now became a match to the Republic navy.
In the ruins, Ulic placed false information about his next move, which misled
the Republic and left Coruscant open for attack. Millennia later, Foerost was
sold by the late Republic to the Techno Union and served as one of its main
research and manufacturing centers.**
Galactic
Museum "Located on Coruscant, the museum contains precious objects
from thousands of forgotten cultures and every age of Galactic
history, including many Sith books, amulets, and talismans."
It is here that Satal and Aleema obtain (steal) a book of Sith magic
which they use to educate themselves in the ways of the Sith.
Geonosis The homeworld of the Geonosians is a
hot, dry, and savage place. Only the hardiest and vicious of
species manage to survive. The Geonosians had created huge droid
factories, and churned out thousands upon thousands of battle
droids for the Separatist Movement in their fight against the
Republic. The planet of Geonisis was also the location of a
pivotal meeting between leaders of the Separatist Movement, as
well as the location of the first battle of the Clone Wars. It is
here that Count Dooku was first discoved to be a Sith Lord by
the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Unfortunately, the
agressive negotiations they had with Dooku ended with both of the
Jedi wounded, and Anakin with one less hand.
Had Abbadon Imperial garrison planet in the deep core. Cade Skywalker and his allies infiltrated the Imperial palace on Had Abbadon to set a trap for Darth Krayt.
Hoth "The
sixth planet in the system of the same name, Hoth is a desolate
world covered by ice fields, forbidding glaciers, and winding
caverns. The planet is located far from its blue-white sun, and
is orbited by three moons. Because of its proximity to the Hoth
asteroid belt, the planet experiences a significant amount of
meteor activity. Three years after the Battle of Yavin, the
Rebels established Echo Base on Hoth." After an Imperial
probe droid discovered the Rebel base it was promptly attacked
and overrun by Imperial forces led by Darth
Vader, Dark Lord of the
Sith.
Kamino A planet covered entirely by oceans and
raging storms. This is the homeworld of the Kaminos, reputed as
the best cloners in the galaxy. The Kaminos live and work in huge
streamlined cities just above the crashing waves. 10 years before
the Clone Wars, under the instruction of Darth
Sidious, Darth
Tyranus visited Kamino
and ordered a huge clone army made for the Republic. He did so
while impersonating the recently deceased Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas
so that all involved truly thought that the Republic had ordered
the army. Tyranus also hand-picked Jango Fett to be the model for
the clone army. To further hide the construction of the clone
army, Tyranus erased all traces of the planet from the Jedi
databanks. During the next ten years the Kaminos toiled away
building the clone army, with almost no contact with the rest of
the galaxy. The planet was almost lost from history. Jango
continued his work as a bounty hunter while using Kamino as his
base of operations. Shortly before the start of the Clone Wars,
Obi-Wan Kenobi managed to find the planet Kamino with some help
from an old friend, Dexter. He was led to the planet in his
search for Senator Amidala's attempted assassin. There he learned
of the clone army that was being produced for the Republic
without it knowing. He also met, and later fought, with Jango
Fett. The fight ended in a draw, but Kenobi managed to get a
tracking device on Fett's ship, which led him to Geonosis. Not long after, Yoda paid a visit to
the Kaminos and left with the first delivery of clone soldiers
for the planet of Geonosis himself. He arrived with the army just
in time to save the remaining Jedi... and to watch the beginning
of the Clone Wars.
Kashyyyk Home planet of the Wookiee's, Kashyyyk itself has played little part in the Sith history. It was the site of one of the five ancient Star Maps. Wookiees were also taken as slaves by the Empire and forced to work as laborers on the first Death Star.
Khar Delba Planet in the heart of the Sith Empire. On the dark side
of the moon Khar Shian resides the secret
stronghold of Naga Sadow. On the planet Khar Delba Sadow had a
decoy fortress which he used to lure Ludo
Kressh into a
confrontation. Unbeknownst to Kressh, Sadow's attack fleet was
hiding behind the moon and caught Kressh's fleet by surprise,
annihilating it.
Kirrek Planet in the Empress Teta
system. One of many
planets ravaged by the multi-pronged attack of the Sith during
the Great Hyperspace War.
Koros Major The
last world in the Empress Teta system to resist the rule of the Krath. It was easily subdued by immense Krath ground
forces and an ancient military command station in orbit.. The
combined Jedi/Republic task force that was sent to Koros Major to
stop the invasion was defeated with the aid of Aleema's Sith
illusions. This major battle resulted in the retreat of the
Republic from the Empress Teta system.
Korriban
Site of the great Valley of the
Dark Lords. It contains the Sith tombs of most of the
past Dark Lords of the Sith. They are guarded by sanguinary Dark
Side creatures. It was during the funeral of Marka Ragnos in the
valley that Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh fought for the title of Dark Lord of the Sith.
But their duel was interupted by the accidental arrival of Gav and Jori
Daragon. Their arrival
inadvertantly started the Great Hyperspace War.
It is also here that the spirit of Freedon Nadd coerced Exar Kun into
giving himself over to the Dark Side. Following the Mandalorian War, Darth
Revan and Darth Malak discovered one of the
five ancient Star Maps hidden in a tomb on Korriban.
Kuar "A planet in the Kuar
system, located near the Empress Teta system, used as a base by Mandalore and his warrior clans." The Harkul
plains on Kuar was the location of a duel between Ulic Qel-Droma and Mandalore that resulted in Mandalore
pledging his warriors to Ulic's cause.
Malachor V During the Mandalorian War, Revan discovered that all of Malachor V was infused with Dark Side energy. He established a stronghold and training academy to bring more Jedi over to the Dark Side. The final battle of the Mandalorian Wars was fought above Malachor V, a forbidden planet in Mandalorians lore. Revan used the immense concentration of Dark Side energy of Malachor to defeat the Mandalorians. Following the war, Revan's old Jedi Master, Kreia, went in search of her fallen pupil. Her search lead to Malachor V where she became overwhelmed by the Dark Side energies and eventually became the new master of the abandoned Sith Academy. She began training her own Sith assassins and embarked on silent cursade against the Jedi.
Manaan
Site of one of the five ancient Star Maps that would lead Darth
Revan and Darth Malak to the Star
Forge. A watery world that tried to stay neutral during the war between the
Republic and Darth Malak's Sith forces.
Mustafar It is a volcanically active moon orbiting an outer rim planet where lava is mined for precious metals. It is here that the last of the Separatist leaders unsuccessfully hid before being slaughtered by Anakin Skywalker, and effectively ending the Clone War. Mustafar also played host to the fateful duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, which ends with Anakin severely wounded and burned, losing his legs and much of his skin.
Naboo "A
temperate planet inhabited by the peaceful Naboo and the more
warlike Gungans. Covered by thick swamps, rolling plains, and
green hills, Naboo is a fairly idyllic world. The Naboo typically
populate striking cities such as Theed, while the Gungans dwell
in exotic bubble cities hidden in lakes and swamps. The planet is
also home to numerous animal species, from the gentle shaak to
the deadly sando aqua monster." In defiance of the
Republic's taxation of trade routes, the Trade
Federation blockaded
and subsequently invaded Naboo. The invasion by the Trade
Federation's droid army was finally defeated with a three-pronged
attack: The Gungan army fought the droid army on the plains,
Queen Amidala led a small insurgent force at the palace to
capture the Viceroy, and Naboo fighters attacked the droid
control ship in orbit. The invasion however was masterminded by Darth
Sidious/Senator Palpatine and was all an elaborate ploy to get himself elected to
Supreme Chancellor. The Theed power generator area was also the
site of Dath Maul's
death. Assailed by Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Maul
skillfully kept both of them at bay with his double-ended
lightsaber. After being seperated from his master by laser gates
leading to the melting pit, Obi-Wan was forced to watch Maul
press his attack against Qui-Gon, eventually stiking him down.
Obi-Wan promplty attacked Maul with increased vitality and cut
him in two at the waist. 10 years later, Senator Amidala returned
to Naboo for some forced vacation, to hide from the assassination
attempts. There she spent much time with her bodyguard, Anakin
Skywalker. Padme and Anakin's love blossomed, but was not fully
realized until their experiences on Geonosis. After the first battle of the Clone Wars on Geonosis,
Padme and Anakin returned to Naboo and were married.
Nar Shadaa More commonly known as the "Smuggler's Moon," Nar Shadaa is the largest moon orbiting the planet Nal Hutta. Like Coruscant, Nar Shadaa's surface is covered with sprawling cityscape. It started out as an emerging hub of galactic trade, with vast spaceports and docking bays being built. But as the cities grew, the lower levels fell into disrepair and became heavens for outcasts and criminals. Nar Shadaa is now infamous for ignoring all sorts of activities that go on in it's cities that are illegal almost anywhere else.
Onderon "A
half-civilized world with four moons, in wildly varying orbits,
the nearest of which is Dxun. Onderon
civilization developed as a single great walled fortress,
primarily to keep out the fearsome Dxun Beasts that migrated to
Onderon via an atmosphere bridge eons ago." Over the ages it
became the custom to cast the city's criminals out into the
wilds, to be finished off by the Dxun Beasts. But as fate would
have it, they learned how to survive out there and eventually
tamed the wild beasts. As the outcasts' numbers grew they formed
into massive armies of Beast Riders lead by powerful warlords.
Onderon degenerated into a state of permanent war between the
inhabitants of the great city of Iziz and the exiled Beast
Riders."It was conquered by Freedon Nadd, and is still suffused with Dark Side
powers." The legacy of Freedon Nadd lived for generations up
through King Ommin and Queen Amanoa. The reign of Nadd's spirit was put to an end
when the Jedi Ulic Qel-Droma,
Cay Qel-Droma, and Tott Doneeta helped end the Beast Wars
of Onderon. Nadd's sarcophagus was removed from Iziz to
the Dxun moon.
Ossus Site of the Great Jedi Library.
A place for Jedi to learn of Jedi history and to apprentice under
great Jedi masters. It is on Ossus that Exar Kun confronted master Odan-Urr to
steal a Sith holocron and in the process killed him. It is also on
Ossus that Kun recruited some vulnerable Jedi trainees to bend to
his dark will. The Jedi Library was destroyed during the Sith
War by the Cron Cluster's
supernova. Four thousand years later the library was later
rediscovered by Luke Skywalker. An academy would once again be established on Ossus, but would be destroyed by Darth Krayt and his resurgent Sith.
Peragus II Originally the site of a successful fuel mining colony until a horrible accident blew out one eight of the planet that would become an asteroid field around the remaining planet. Following the accident, mining continued, but in the surrounding asteroids. Sometime during the chaos that followed the disappearance of Darth Revan, the assassin droid HK-50 staged an uprising with the mining droids on Peragus II, eventually killing all the miners. The wounded Jedi Exile managed to dock with the mining station for medical attention and for repairs to his ship. The Exile managed to escape the murderous droids, but while fleeing the system a fuel-rich asteroid is detonated in the firefight, causing a chain reaction that destroyed the entire planet and asteroid field.
Prakith Backwater planet where Darth Andeddu built his secret fortress. This was also the last resting place of his body while his spirit traveled the galaxy encased in a holocron, destined to reanimate his body centuries later.
Primus Goluud An
unstable red giant star. It is here that Naga Sadow parked his meditation sphere ship and
controlled his Sith invasion fleet during the Great
Hyperspace War. Led here by Gav
Daragon, the Republic
fleet engaged Sadows battered fleet, but barely escaped when
Sadow used his imense Sith powers to nudge the already unstable
star to supernova.
Rhelg private world of Ludo Kressh.
Ruusan A
thousand years before the battle of Yavin, Ruusan was the site of
the final battle between the Jedi and the reestablished Sith. In
a last act of desperation, the Sith Lords, led by Kaan, detonated a thought bomb, killing all the Jedi
(that were present) and the Sith Lords themselves... save one, Darth Bane. It was at this site that a memorial was erected and named the Valley of the Jedi (picture is of the central meditation chamber). It is believed that the spirits of the Jedi and Sith were trapped in the valley as a result of the thought bomt. The location of the Valley would be lost in time until, a millenium later, Morgan Katarn found it. The Valley of the Jedi would become the site of another struggle between Light and Dark when Jedi Knight Kyle Katarn (son of Morgan Katarn) defeated the Dark Jedi Jerec.
Socorro Site of an Imperial Mission where Emperor Roan Fel's Daughter was hiding, before Darth Talon tracked her there, and narrowly missed apprehending her. Socorro is also the location of Rav's clearing-house for bounties that Cade Skywalker frequents.
Star
Forge System "A galaxy as ancient as
ours is filled with inexplicable wonders and secrets lost to the ages. Long
before the Republic held together the scattered worlds of the galaxy, the
Rakatan Empire held many systems in thrall. The Rakata were incredibly advanced,
but their warlike and aggressive spirit was their undoing. Their crowning
achievment was the Star Forge, the ultimate war machine. The Star Forge was an
enormous space-station/factory that harnessed the power of an entire star.
Within its hull was a vast, intricate network of automated machines designed to
mass-produce weaponry, droids, and starships. However, it was more than merely a
metal construct. Its shadowed cavities were infused with the Dark Side of Force,
endowing it with evil, breathing life. The Rakata home world orbited the sun to
which the Star Forge was linked. On this planet the Rakata built a temple that
housed a generator for a defensive field around the Star Forge. The field
disrupted any electronic equipment that approached the Star Forge, causing ships
to be caught in the gravitational field of the Rakatan planet. The Unknown
World, as it was called, was littered with the wreckage of thousands of years of
ships unlucky enough to stumble upon the Star Forge." (starwars.com
Databank) Revan and Malak discovered the Star Forge and used it to create
endless waves of military fleets which they unleashed on unsuspecting
Republic.**
Taris
Taris' only real claim to fame is for having its surface completely razed by
orbital bombardment in an attempt by Darth
Malak to kill the Jedi Bastilla, who's
battle meditation was crucial to the capture of Malak's master, Darth Revan.
Despite the decimation of Taris, Bastilla escaped.
Tatooine "Although far from the center of the galaxy and the
Galactic Republic, Tatooine occupies a strategic location at the
nexus of several hyperspace routes. As a result, Tatooine has
been the site of many orbital battles between rival gangsters and
smugglers, and its surface is littered with ancient starship
wrecks, most of which have long since been scavanged by Jawas and
buried by the fierce sandstorms. Tatooine is controlled by the
Hutts, powerful gangsters and crimelords that have made the
desert world into a hub of criminal activity. Gambling,
smuggling, and slavery are all common practice on the harsh
world, which is visited by a wide range of aliens from throughout
the galaxy. Tatooine is also known for the Boonta Eve Classic, a
dangerous Podrace held near Mos Espa on Boonta Eve. Tatooine's
native humanoid species include dangerous Tusken Raiders and
skittish Jawas. Animal life is diverse, ranging from hairy
banthas to docile dewbacks. Tatooine is also home to the
terrifying krayt dragon. During early colonization, settlers
hoped to establish profitable mining operations. When this proved
impossible, many colonists built "moisture farms."
Water prospectors can also be found roaming the desert in search
of untapped sources of subterranean moisture. Tatooine is marked
by tall mesas, deep canyons, and expansive desert seas." Tatooine is also

Telos The Sith war fleet bombed Telo's surface during the Jedi Civil War. Several years later the Republic began restoration efforts to restore the devestated planet to it's original beauty. Orbiting Telos was the enormous Citadel Station where the Ithorians speareheaded the ecological recovery efforts. Telos was also the site of a secret Jedi academy run by the Jedi Master Atris. Thousands of years later Telos would recover and became a popular destination for intergalactic tourists.

Vendaxa A backwater planet that was the site of a confrontation between the fleeing Princess Marasiah Fel and her companions and the Darth Talon. It was here that Cade Skywalker was forced to reveal his Jedi heritage in order for them to escape Talon.
The Wheel Located in the Besh Gorgon System, it is a wheel-shaped space station dating back to the Old Republic. It survived by remaining neutral in all galactic conflicts. During the Sith reign of Darth Krayt, The Wheel was the first place that Nyna Calixte tracked Cade Skywalker.
Yavin Four "A jungle moon of Yavin, and the final
hiding place of Naga Sadow and
his followers. Sadow's followers eventually devolved into the
primitive Massassi warriors over the centuries - but his power and
all the artifacts of his alchemy for giving flesh to departed
spirits of the dead remain intact there. After winning over the
Massassi, Exar
Kun ordered the building of new
temples on Yavin Four according to the ancient Sith designs
helping to focus great Dark Side evergies there." The
surface of Yavin Four was raveged during an attack by Jedi
starships that also resulted in Exar Kun's spirit being entombed
in one of the Sith temples. Four thousand years later the ancient
Sith temples were used as a secret base by the Rebel Alliance,
and the site of the first Death Star's destruction. Later Yavin
Four is the site of Luke's Jedi Academy.
Ziost Central world of the Sith Lords. A neutral planet
where the descendants of powerful, exiled Jedi can conduct the
business of an empire. A planet where the greatest among them,
the Dark Lord of the Sith reigns. It is here
that Naga
Sadow is chosen as the new Dark
Lord after the death of Marka Ragnos. Beneath the fortress in the
prisonor level, Gav and Jori
awaited their fate as prisoners of the Sith; But they didn't wait
long before Sadow staged a prison break made to look like the
Republic was preparing for a full scale invasion of the Sith
Empire in an attempt to rally the other Sith lords into
initiating a pre-emptive strike on the Republic. It was during
this prison break that Sadow killed the great Sith lord Simus.
